This last Memorial Day weekend the Crespi Football Program participated in a wonderful cause to show their appreciation for the men and woman in our armed forces across seas. Sunday around 100 players, coaches, and parents volunteered their time for Operation Gratitude, an organization that puts care packages together to send to our troops. It was a powerful day filled with meaning and purpose, through out the day we prepared care packages and wrote letters of appreciation to our military. If you would like to donate your time to this great organization click here www.opgratitude.com , you can also check out some of the pictures from the day by clicking on the picture.

If you're making plans, mark down June 13 as the start of a busy summer seven-on-seven passing season, with the Dana Hills Air Strike tournament the place to be.
There won't be a better passing competition than the tournament that will take place in the morning at Dana Hills and San Clemente and end with an early evening championship game at 5:30 p.m. at Dana Hills.
Among the 16 teams entered are Santa Ana Mater Dei, Long Beach Poly, Huntington Beach Edison, Lakewood, Harbor City Narbonne, Westlake Village Oak Christian, Ventura St. Bonaventure, Encino Crespi, Anaheim Servite, Los Alamitos and Santa Margarita.

Spring football practice has begun, so it's the perfect time to project 10 top teams for the 2009 season:
Encino Crespi. After reaching the Pac-5 Division championship game in 2007, the Celts didn't make the playoffs last season. That failure has their talented class of seniors determined to reverse fortunes. "I feel it's coming together," Coach Jeremiah Ross said. The Celts are going to be able to spread defenses with an excellent quarterback in Bryan Bennett and top receivers in Blake Stanton, Devin Lucien and 6-5 tight end Pierce Richardson. Three college prospects return on the offensive line.
